MicroWiki statistics from 2020 released – here’s what they revealed

Greater Baddow – The Essexian Post has been given exclusive access by the MicroWiki Administration to insight data from the MicroWiki website (micronations.wiki) from 2020.

Generally, the stats have remained similar to last year with a few key changes. The Republic of Kekistan, the most famous micronation globally, remains the most visited page for a micronation – with over 20,000 unique viewers. From the MicroWiki sector of the community, the Empire of Austenasia was last year’s most visited page racking up almost 5000 unique viewers.

Organisation wise—the Grand Unified Micronational (GUM) page dominates viewership in comparison to its counterparts, being the 9th most viewed page on the site and having over 3500 unique views. Combined with its Ratifications page, that figure rises to almost 5000 unique viewers. The Cupertino Alliance (CA) page, the next biggest mictonational organisation in the community, ranks 21st, and just scrapes 2000 unique viewers. Therefore, in regard to interaction on the Wiki, the GUM continued to dominate the CA in 2020.

Essexia and Vishwamitra had some of the highest gains in interaction compared to 2019.  The Essexian page was the 15th most viewed micronational page on the site, having almost 2000 unique views. The page was the 8th most viewed in the MicroWiki sector—representing an unprecedented increase in interaction.

For MicroWiki as a whole, it was similarly an excellent year. The site received 2.8 million views, and 1.8 million unique views. Clearly, MicroWiki continues to thrive despite recent controversy on the affiliated MicroWiki Discord server. Large amounts of its success can be attributed to Karl Friedrich, the main technical admin on the site, who has been working to improve and upgrade micronations.wiki.
